Who Is The Lower Back Pain Treatment For?

Our Reset Injections are ideal for patients with low back pain, which can spread to the back of the thighs and lower legs affected by standing for a while. In addition, some patients describe muscle spasms in the back and hips. Before Reset Injections, patients should be examined by an orthopedist, and no other treatment options are available or offered.

About Our Specialized Lower Back Pain Treatment

Reset Injections are a multi-step process that requires precision and accuracy. The most vital step involves identifying the hyperactive nerve endings responsible for your pain. This process takes patience, and attention to detail. Patients are awake during the whole procedure due to the minimally invasive process and the key to the treatment; patients guiding us towards their hyperactive nerve endings.

What Happens After The Procedure?

After the procedure, you may experience soreness at the injection site. Additionally, some patients experience pain relief immediately; for others, it can take up to two weeks for the effects of the treatment to set in. A follow-up appointment is scheduled for you two weeks after the initial procedure to evaluate the results of the Reset Injections, and if needed, additional injections are provided.

  • What are the side effects of the Reset Treatment?

So far we have not encountered any side effects. Like with any injection, there is always a risk of infection from the needle or allergic reaction to the medications.

  • How do Reset Injections work?

At RESET Pain Center, we have discovered that hyperactive pain receptors cause pain. These hyperactive centers will vary per patient and by condition. Locating these hyperactive pain receptors is at the heart of our novel treatment. Once found, a series of injections will reset the activity of those pain receptors back to normal. As a result, our novel treatment decreases the pain almost instantaneously, with patients feeling significant relief by the time they leave RESET Pain Center.

  • Does the Reset Treatment hurt?

The amount of discomfort from the Reset treatment is minimal. At the end of the treatment, most patients ask us, “that is it?”. It is much less than what is felt during nerve blocks.

  • What should I expect from my Reset Treatment?

It is essential to understand that, realistically, the pain you are currently experiencing will not go away but will be significantly reduced, and your activity level will be much improved.

  • How long does it take for the Reset Treatment to improve my pain?

97% of patients feel better and are experiencing much less pain before they leave the office.

  • How many Reset Treatments do I need for maximal benefit?

  • What is injected in the Reset treatment?

It is an injection of a unique proprietary blend of medications designed for resetting the activities of the nerves involved in the transmission of pain back to normal levels. The potency of the medicine varies depending on the condition and pain levels being treated.

About The Treatment

Reset Injections are a multi-step process that requires precision and accuracy. The most vital step involves identifying the hyperactive nerve endings responsible for your pain. This process takes patience, grace, and attention to detail. Patients are awake during the whole procedure due to the minimally invasive process and the key to the treatment; patients guiding us towards their hyperactive nerve endings.

We measure the activity of the hyperactive nerve endings on a scale from 1 to 10. If the nerve endings are more hyperactive and near a ten, we use more and stronger medication. The medications injected vary with the severity of the pain and the disease causing the pain. However, we never use steroids or opioids in our injections.

Additionally, since we prioritize the comfort of our patients, we use the smallest needles available.

After the Reset Injections, patients recover for 10 to 20 minutes before they are discharged from the center.

Other Helpful Information About Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain can be anything ranging from a dull pain to a sharp stabbing sensation in your lower back. Lower back pain will be felt underneath your ribcage around your hips, buttocks, tailbone, and pelvic region. Lower back pain is very common. Everyone experiences lower back pain; children, teenagers, young adults, and the elderly can suffer from it at any point in their lives. Roughly three-fifths of all people experience lower back pain. Most lower back pain will resolve by itself within a few weeks. However, if your lower back pain lingers for more than three months, you may need treatment for chronic back pain.

What Causes Lower Back Pain?

There are many causes of lower back pain. Leading causes of lower back pain include injury, disc issues, and spinal abnormalities.

Degenerative Disc Disease

Degenerative Disc Disease is the deterioration of the discs between your vertebrae. The discs are cushions that absorb pressure between your bones. Naturally, your disks deteriorate and thin out over time. However, if you have degenerative disk disease, the deterioration will cause you pain and make it difficult to move around. Degenerative Disc Disease typically onsets after forty years old.

Herniated Disc

A herniated, slipped, or ruptured disc (discs are the cushions between the bones in your spine) is typically caused by an injury and or aging. Some people with herniated discs feel no pain at all and are unaware they have a herniated disc. Other individuals experience a lot of pain due to the disc pressing on nearby nerves. In order to better explain, imagine a gel capsule of ibuprofen. The outside of the gel ibuprofen has a hard exterior with soft jelly on the inside. Gel capsule ibuprofens are comparable to the structure of your discs. When a disc is herniated or ruptured, the outside will break, causing the jelly inside to leak out. The pain from a herniated disc is caused by a piece of external shell or the jelly irritating a nerve root.

Injury

Injuries to the lower back can be from poor posture, physical exertion, sports, impact, falling, and heavy lifting. The injuries can be in the form of a strained muscle or a sprained ligament. Most pain caused by an injury will resolve by itself within a few weeks, and it is normal to feel a little more pain when doing specific movements.
